GEOFFREY BOUILLOT

Geoffrey Bouillot is an French ultra-contemporary artist who creates works that oscillate between the mechanical, symbols and humans to deconstruct the iconic figures and the human code of our society.

Influenced by many form of Cubism, Futurism, Pop art or Pop culture, assembly and disassembly lie at the core of his process: each form becomes a component of a system, an interchangeable part of an ever-shifting whole. His stylistic identity is asserted by monochromatic painting and figurations characterized by clean lines and three-dimensional depth.

From pop culture icons (Mechanical Heroes, Titan of Steel series…), to cultural and historical symbols (Artifact, Masters of Olympus series…), Geoffrey Bouillot’s deconstructions invite us to rediscover and re-observe the symbols and icons that form our cultural and historical roots. He aims to connect our these foundations to our contemporary world and invites us to rethink our standardized and consumerist society.

Geoffrey Bouillot’s human figures (Sottomondo, Tokyoverse series...) remind us of our intrinsic being, our self-discovery, emotions, relationships to the world or to others, and the complexities of life itself. He encourages us to explore the intricacies of our human soul and question our own humanity.
